Due to expansion of the department, Rangitoto College invites applications for a full-time, permanent guidance counsellor to start as soon as possible.
We seek an innovative, professionally trained counsellor (teaching qualification preferred but not essential) who has a deep interest in the wellbeing of our youth, and is a current member of NZAC, or working towards full membership. The counselling department is collegial, organised and well-resourced, and is part of a high-performing school which aims to give every student the opportunity to excel.
The applicant will be able to demonstrate in their practice a commitment to the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the bicultural foundations of Aotearoa New Zealand.
Staff at the college are expected to contribute to the co-curricular life of the school.
Contract and remuneration will be in in line with the Secondary Teachers' collective agreement. (CA)https://www.education.govt.nz/school/people-and-employment/employment-agreements/collective-agreements/ as assessed by the Salary Assessment Unit of the Ministry of Education. Annual remuneration is dependent on service and qualifications, between $61,329 and $103,086. Hours of work will be as set out in the SCA.
