Pakuranga College is a large (2,200+ students), coeducational, culturally diverse secondary school located in Pakuranga, East Auckland. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dedicated senior leadership team, as a deputy principal. The leadership skills required in our new deputy principal will be based on strong relationship skills and a commitment to excellence. The appointee will be a person of integrity and experience who values excellence in education and who is able to contribute to an innovative leadership team.

The successful applicant will have:
Proven administrative and organisational management skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with staff, students, parents and the wider community.
Proven ability to model and encourage quality teaching and learning through effective use of educational research.
Ability to proactively bring change and innovation to areas including curriculum and pedagogy.
The ability to mentor staff and to work collegially to build cohesive teams.
The willingness and ability to learn, adapt and grow in the position.
