Guidance counsellor

Ngāruawāhia High School is situated in a beautiful rural location in the heart of Tainui and Kīngitanga.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced guidance counsellor, who has proven counselling experience working with young people and their whānau within a school context. A postgraduate diploma or Masters in Counselling is preferred.

We are looking for a counsellor who manages risk effectively, works collaboratively with whānau, staff and external agencies and who is committed to supporting diversity through restorative practice and culturally sustaining pedagogies.

The successful applicant will be a provisional or full member of NZAC, and be a registered teacher with a current practising certificate.
