Backyard Kids Childcare is a new, purpose-built centre in Ōtaki, Wellington. 

We have an exciting opportunity for a kaiako to join our awesome team.

Our centre has a strong focus on the outdoors and natural resources. 

The successful applicant will:

• Create a positive, welcoming and nurturing environment
• Be able to communicate effectively 
• Have a genuine warmth, care and passion for children
• Be a team player who understands their role and embraces collaboration
• Be committed, optimistic and future-focused, and turns goals into actions
• Have some knowledge in programme planning, assessment and reflection
• Have an understanding of the Te Whāriki curriculum
• Be resident in NZ
• Have a NZ recognised ECE qualification.
