New entrant teacher

Due to roll growth we are seeking an experienced new entrant teacher to join our incredible junior school from mid-term 3. The successful applicant will receive high-quality induction, mentoring and support.

Meadowbank School is a large, high performing school with an enthusiastic, collegial and collaborative teaching team. There is a strong sense of community among staff, and teachers are always willing to help each other out. Agency is encouraged amongst teachers to develop their own teaching styles.

Our students are excited to learn and our parent community is engaged and supportive. We have a strong focus on student wellbeing, and there are a number of programmes and initiatives in place to support students' social and emotional development.

The school has an enviable environmental education reputation and we offer a large number of specialist enrichment programmes, including performing arts, PE, te reo Māori, Mandarin, STEAM, Enviro and Garden to Table. Our teachers already benefit from 25 hours CRT per term and our release schedule allows for weekly blocks of release with other team members as well as full days of release.

Meadowbank invests heavily in professional development for all staff, working alongside a range of outside facilitators as well as drawing on the extensive expertise of current staff members.
