ECE teacher
We are a small centre in St John's Auckland who are looking for a teacher who:
- places a strong emphasis on children's autonomy and agency in their learning and development
- recognises children as active participants in their own learning journey
- emphasizes the importance of empowering children to make choices, take initiative, and have a sense of control over their learning experiences at all ages and stages
- encourages children to express their preferences, interests, and ideas, and to make decisions about their own learning
- encourages children to take risks, explore new ideas, and learn through hands-on experiences
- encourages children to work together, negotiate with others, and learn from each other's perspectives, fostering both independence and social skills
- is confident in their role in scaffolding children's learning experiences, providing resources, asking open-ended questions, and facilitating their exploration and decision-making processes
- will foster children’s confidence, motivation, and lifelong love for learning.
