ECE - head teacher

We are on the lookout for an exceptional head teacher to join our small team.

• Looking to move to a head teacher role?
• Maybe you are currently in a head teacher position but wish to seek an alternative setting. Do you want to be inspired daily by truly forming relationships with a small group of children with disabilities?
• Leading a small team and working alongside therapists in a team culture where we collectively celebrate our children’s progress.
• Are you excited about new Learnings and working in a transdisciplinary setting?
• Core attributes of the person we seek is a passion for giving our children every opportunity to reach for the stars.

Key skills:

• A fully qualified & fully registered ECE teacher in New Zealand is a must
• Full understanding of Te Whāriki and Enabling Good Lives principles
• Classroom planning, mentoring, curriculum, and centre reviews
• Enthusiastic, energetic team player
• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal including learning stories composition.
• Empathetic, creative, and approachable.
• Positive, can-do attitude, and the ability to bring new ideas/concepts to the team.
• Sense of fun
• Confident in engagement with whānau and other professionals
• Additional qualifications in special education are desirable but not essential.
