Due to a growing number of enrolments, Cuddly Kiwis Childcare Everglade is seeking a qualified and registered (full/provisional) kaiako to join our team so that we can maintain providing our excellent child/teacher ratios.

APPLICANTS MUST HAVE A VALID WORK VISA OR RESIDENCY. We are not accredited yet so cannot consider overseas applicants. 

• Location: Goodwood Heights, Manukau
• Licensed for 37 children (ages 2 to 5 years)
• 35 to 40 hour position with rostered hours between 7.30am to 5.30pm. 

Our centre is more than another childcare facility where tamariki, whānau and kaiako come together for a laugh, to be inspired and to share what is important in their lives. We place high value on whanaungatanga and manaakitanga and our latest ERO report is a reflection of that.

An ideal applicant would have:

• Level 7 qualification or equivalent in early childhood education
• A current teaching practising certificate
• A good working knowledge of Te Whāriki and ability to provide evidence of applying this to planning for children's learning and development
• Sound knowledge of program planning, internal evaluation and learning journeys is ideal but not necessary (as we will train you) 
• Qualities of a reflective kaiako and proactive in setting up stimulating learning environments for children
• Team player with excellent communication skills
• A commitment to your own continuous professional development.
