Mo te tunga / About the role:

BestStart Ferry Road are seeking a passionate and caring teacher for their busy Otakaro / Ihutai Teams (one classroom with children aged 2-3½ years).

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring thoughtful, meaningful and fun environments
  • Supporting tamariki by encouraging curiosity, imagination and extend interests
  • Role modelling respect and care for all areas of our environment.

Role requirements:

  • BEd/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and current teacher registration/certification
  • Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whāriki and hold compliance in a high regard. 

This is a permanent part-time role, working 30 hours per week Monday-Friday, between 7.30am-5.30pm. (The hours will be 9am-3.30pm daily.)
