Our Ferguson Street early childhood centre is excited to welcome a new centre manager – full-time to the whānau. It is a homely, yet spacious heritage-style centre nestled in the heart of Palmerston North. We provide a nurturing environment to our tamariki from 3 months old to school-age for the community.

We want the centre manager to lead and champion this philosophy. The following skills, knowledge and capabilities are ideally required for this role:

• An inspirational leader with an innate ability to develop, lead a team to deliver best practice childcare services
• BEd/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration/certification
• Outstanding time management and organisational skills
• Superb communication skills
• Initiative, desire and passion for quality practice standards and commitment to the principles of Te Whāriki
• Familiarity with the New Zealand Teaching Council, ERO, MOE requirements, licensing criteria, 2008 regulations and Code of Ethics
• A comprehensive understanding of how to maintain and grow occupancy levels
• Innovative, resilient, committed, passionate and enthusiastic!
