Action on Smoking and Health (ASH) and the Health Promotion Agency (HPA) will soon be inviting schools to participate in the 2019 New Zealand Youth Tobacco Monitor (NZYTM) involving the ASH Y10 Snapshot survey. The survey will be conducted in term 2.
Your school’s participation is important for ensuring the data and trends give an accurate reflection of what is happening in youth smoking across New Zealand. Participating schools will receive their school’s smoking figures, including a comparison with national trends in New Zealand.
For more information, visit www.hpa.org.nz/what-we-do/nzytm, or contact Niveditha Gurram; ph (04) 917 0060 or email N.email@example.com.

Volunteer-guide led educational tours are available for school groups visiting Matiu/Somes Island. These half-day morning or afternoon tours cover the island's unique cultural and natural history. They fit well with the New Zealand Curriculum and with NCEA programmes.
The tour cost is $2 per student (plus $13 per student for the return ferry fare).
Please note that as the term 4 demand for tours can exceed guiding capacity, bookings for November and December should be made by the end of term 3.
