Principals from Ōtara share how this year’s Ministry of Education-facilitated teacher-only days are enhancing the professional development of their teaching
The Ministry of Education has signed a new agreement with Google to enable state and state-integrated schools to apply for Ministry-funded Chrome Education licences.
Schools can manage any number of Chromebooks, customise features and configure security settings from a cloud-based admin console.
The Chrome Education licence allows schools to manage Chromebooks from a cloud-based admin console. This includes the ability to manage apps, websites, install updates and filter internet activity across all Chromebooks to help ensure safe and secure use of devices at school. School-owned, leased and bring-your-own-device (BYOD) Chromebooks are eligible under this agreement. The agreement takes effect from 1 November 2018 to 30 June 2021.
Go to https://education.govt.nz/google(external link) for more information about the agreement and to find out how you can apply for the licence.
