Raurimu Avenue School is entering an exciting new chapter in 2027, and we're looking for a passionate, dedicated teacher to join our small, supportive kura in beautiful Northland.

We are looking for an experienced, confident and relationship-focused kaiako who understands the needs of young adolescents.

Our ideal teacher will:

• Have excellent classroom management and behaviour-support skills.
• Understand trauma-informed and inclusive teaching practices.
• Be confident supporting neurodiverse learners and students with complex needs.
• Build strong relationships with tamariki and whānau.
• Have high expectations for literacy, mathematics and student achievement.
• Bring creativity, consistency, calm leadership and a sense of humour to the classroom.
