Te Awa School is a vibrant, inclusive Year 1 to 6 school in beautiful Napier, Hawke's Bay. We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and committed kaiako to join our awesome team in 2027, teaching in our senior school, Years 4 to 6.

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Builds strong, positive relationships with tamariki, whānau and colleagues.
• Is passionate about inclusive, culturally responsive teaching and celebrates the diversity of our learners.
• Has sound curriculum knowledge, particularly in literacy and mathematics, and uses effective teaching practices to ensure all learners experience success.
• Creates an engaging, supportive learning environment where tamariki feel safe, valued and excited to learn.

• Is committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the integration of te reo Māori and tikanga Māori into everyday teaching and learning.

Sports leadership opportunity: For the right applicant, there is an opportunity for a management unit with responsibility for leading and developing sport across our kura. We would love someone who is passionate about providing sporting opportunities that encourage participation, teamwork, confidence and success for all tamariki.
