Year 6 and 7 Classroom Teacher

Located in Kilbirnie, Wellington, St. Patrick’s  Primary School is a small Catholic community school. It has a vibrant learning community that values aroha, respect, working in unity, strong teaching practice, student agency, and a positive, inclusive culture, guided by Catholic principles.

The successful applicant will take responsibility for planning and delivering engaging learning programmes within a Year 6 and 7 classroom.

We are looking for a kaiako who:

• demonstrates strong curriculum knowledge and effective teaching practice, particularly within Years 6 and 7
• is confident planning, assessing and reporting on learning
• is digitally capable and confident
• demonstrates culturally responsive teaching practices
• is flexible, organised and adaptable

• builds nurturing, respectful relationships with children/whānau and colleagues
• reflects our Catholic values in daily practice
• works collaboratively as part of a close‑knit team
• create beautiful environments that foster exploration and creativity
• The applicant must;

 Be a registered, certificated teacher in New Zealand holding a current practising certificate.

Demonstrate willingness and capability to take part in religious instruction, activities and programmes, appropriate to the special character of the school.
