Teacher - Tagged Position

At St Michael’s, we want every child to grow in faith, experience success and know they belong. We are seeking a skilled, caring teacher who shares this commitment and will contribute actively to the Catholic life of our school.

We are a small, welcoming Catholic primary school for Years 0–6. Our Mercy charism and STAR values, Service, Tika, Aroha and Respect, shape our teaching, relationships and care for our community.

We are looking for a teacher who:

• uses strong curriculum knowledge and evidence-based teaching to help every learner progress.
• holds high expectations and responds thoughtfully to children’s strengths, needs and wellbeing.
• creates an inclusive, engaging classroom where children feel known and valued.
• builds positive relationships with learners, whānau, colleagues and our parish.
• shares ideas, reflects on practice and embraces professional learning.
• lives our Catholic faith through teaching, prayer, service and personal example.
• brings warmth, initiative and a sense of humour.

Willingness and ability to participate in religious instruction appropriate to the special character of the school is a condition of appointment.
