Having an understanding of Te Ao Māori and a commitment to developing Te reo Māori is essential. Demonstrating awareness of the diverse and ethnic-specific identities, languages and cultures of Pacific learners and approaches that are effective for Pacific learners is also important.
The successful applicant will be a NZ registered teacher, with a current practising certificate, who has excellent knowledge of the NZ Curriculum and recent experience in supporting diverse learners in inclusive environments. Ability to follow established processes and work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals through the Learning Support Delivery model is required. You will be able to contribute to our positive team culture and demonstrate being a team player.
