We are looking for an exceptional editor to join the multi-talented publication team responsible for producing the NCEA and New Zealand Scholarship examinations.

Editing roles as good as this are rare in Wellington – don't miss out on this opportunity!

About the role

  • A mix of editing, desktop and web publishing, project management and administration.
  • Interesting and varied subject matter – no boring business reports!
  • Work and play with the latest Mac technology in a supportive team environment.

About you

You will have:

  • excellent written communication and impeccable grammar skills
  • demonstrated ability to edit and rewrite text in complex and varied subject areas, considering sense, clarity and fitness for purpose
  • a commitment to layout and design practices that enhance accessibility and user engagement
  • experience with desktop publishing and web content management software, ideally in a Mac environment
  • strong self-motivation, with an aptitude for juggling multiple priorities while maintaining focus under the pressure of immoveable deadlines
  • an appreciation of the value of peer review processes within a close-knit team.

Fluency in te reo Māori, while not essential, would be a distinct advantage.
