Learning Support Coordinator

Ebbett Park School is looking for an experienced, inclusive and collaborative educator to join our team as our Learning Support Coordinator (LSC). The successful applicant will be well supported and work closely with the Principal and DP to ensure the best possible support and outcomes for our learners.

This position is available from the start of 2027 (1.0 FTTE) and comes with 2 management units. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and strengthen learning support across our full primary school. We are looking for someone who understands that effective learning support begins with knowing our ākonga, recognising their strengths and needs, and working alongside teachers, whānau and specialists.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leadership of Mitey across the school
• Individual Education Plans for LS students
• PLD for teachers on inclusive education, including staff meetings
• Oversight of Teacher Aide timetables and responsibilities
• Oversight of LS interventions
• Leadership of Wellbeing across the school (student, staff and community)

We are looking for someone who:

• has a strong understanding of learning support systems in Aotearoa New Zealand
• enjoys collaborating and working as part of a team.
• holds a current New Zealand teacher registration and certification
• has experience supporting neurodivergent ākonga and those with diverse learning needs
• understands inclusive education, assessment, evidence-informed interventions

Experience as a SENCO, Learning Support Coordinator, pastoral leader, or in specialist education settings will be highly regarded.

This position requires regular travel. Applicants must hold a full New Zealand driver's licence and have access to a registered and warranted vehicle for work-related duties.
