Assistant Head of Faculty Mathematics

Kaipara College is a co-educational semi-rural secondary school serving the Helensville and wider Kaipara community only 35 minutes northwest of the Auckland CBD, situated in Helensville, and recognise the mana whenua of the South Kaipara, Ngāti Whātua o Kaipara.

The faculty of mathematics seeks to appoint a permanent full-time Assistant Head of Faculty (HoF) Mathematics. The  successful candidate will be an outstanding, collaborative and forward- thinking team member. 

This position is suitable for a passionate teacher who has a commitment to high-impact pedagogical practices that integrate universal design for learning, mātauranga Māori, numeracy and literacy strategies, and enabling all students to excel. As Assistant HoF Mathematics, the successful candidate will have a strength in modern assessment practices at all levels and capable of managing change and developing relational trust to ensure the best educational outcomes for our students.  

Experience in teaching and learning and the ability to teach NCEA Level 3 is an advantage.  Strong faculty and schoolwide support will be provided for the successful candidate.

The Assistant HoF Mathematics will be a New Zealand Registered Teacher and be expected to demonstrate a range of knowledge, experience and attributes relevant to this role. The successful candidate will commence at the start of Term 1, 2027.
