Kaikohe Christian School is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and collaborative Year 5 to 6 classroom teacher to join our team, starting 28 January 2027.

We are a vibrant, composite area school (Years 1 to 13) located in the heart of the beautiful mid-North. Our school is committed to providing a high-quality education grounded in a biblical worldview, fostering both academic excellence and strong character in our tamariki.

The ideal candidate:

• holds a current New Zealand teacher registration and has a strong understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum
• demonstrates effective classroom management and a proven track record of accelerating student achievement in literacy and numeracy
• is culturally responsive, relational, and enthusiastic about working within a diverse community
• possesses a willingness to contribute to the wider life of our school.

Special character requirements

A willingness and ability to take part in religious instruction appropriate to the special character of the school shall be a condition of appointment. The successful applicant will be expected to maintain, uphold, and positively contribute to the Christian character of the school.
