About the role
Are you a passionate kaiako who builds strong relationships and believes every tamaiti can succeed?
Irongate School is a Years 1–8 kura in Flaxmere, Hastings, offering reo rua and rumaki reo pathways. We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic classroom teacher to join our team and make a positive difference for our tamariki. Someone who is keen to work alongside our students in extracurricular including Sports is advantageous.
We are looking for someone who:
- Creates a positive, inclusive classroom with clear routines and high expectations.
- Brings strong literacy and mathematics teaching practice.
- Uses assessment to identify next steps and respond to learners’ needs.
- Values te reo Māori, tikanga Māori, and the identities and cultures of our tamariki.
- Works collaboratively and builds respectful partnerships with whānau.
