Experienced Registered ECE Teacher

Full-time, with flexibility for the right person

Are you an experienced, passionate kaiako looking for a centre where you can make a real difference and feel genuinely supported?

Curious Cubs Early Learning is a pretty special place! We have a play based curriculum, beautiful relationships with our tamariki and whānau, and a stable team who love working together. With exciting plans to grow and develop our centre, we’re looking for someone who shares our passion for quality early childhood education.

What makes Curious Cubs special?

• A curriculum that inspires curiosity, exploration and a love of learning.
• A fun, positive and supportive team culture.
• Curriculum guidance, mentoring and leadership support already in place.
• Opportunities to contribute ideas, grow professionally and help shape our future.

About you

• Hold a Level 7 ECE or Primary teaching qualification, with current teacher registration and a valid practising certificate.
• Have a passion for child-led learning, nature-based education and quality teaching practice.
• Build positive relationships with tamariki, whānau and colleagues.
• Demonstrate a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and inclusive practice.
• Bring initiative, enthusiasm and a collaborative approach.
• Embrace reflective practice and ongoing professional growth.

An interest in team leadership would be a bonus, but it’s not essential. We welcome applications from teachers who are passionate about teaching and curriculum, as well as those keen to develop their leadership skills.

The position is ideally full-time. However, if you’re looking for flexibility with your working days, please get in touch. For the right person, there may be room to make things work.

Applicants must have the right to work in New Zealand. Curious Cubs is not an accredited employer.
