Team Leader Junior School – Years 1 to 3

We are seeking and inspiring, collaborative, and future-focused team leader to guide our vibrant junior school (Years 1 to 3).  This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher looking to step into leadership, or an established leader wanting to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and progressive environment. 

About the role

As our Year 1 to 3 team leader, you will teach a class while leading a dedicated team of junior school educators. You will champion high-quality and learning, foster strong relationships and whānau, and ensure a smooth, nurturing transition to school for our youngest learners.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• proven leadership skills or the clear potential to lead, mentor, and inspire a teaching team
• deep curriculum knowledge of early years (Years 1 to 3), including structured literacy and play-based or inquiry learning methodologies
• a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waītangi, culturally responsive practices, and integrating te reo me ngā Māori into daily practice
• strong relational skills, with the ability to connect deeply with students, staff, and our diverse community
• excellent organizational skills and a collaborative, solution-focused mindset.
