Art Teacher

Southland Boys’ High School is seeking a passionate, innovative, and effective teacher to join our technology faculty.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced art teacher who is passionate about creativity, student engagement, and achievement.

We are looking for an educator who inspires artistic expression, develops students’ confidence and practical skills, and supports all learners to achieve. The successful applicant will work collaboratively and contribute to curriculum development within a department that values high standards, student engagement, and culturally responsive teaching.

• Deliver engaging art programmes across multiple year levels.
• Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and experimentation through a range of artistic processes and media.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, programme development, assessment, and moderation.
• Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
• Use assessment information to support student progress and achievement.
