Basketball Programme Lead

Manukura is seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated and capable basketball programme lead to lead and grow our basketball programme within our unique high-performance sport and culture environment. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for basketball, athlete development and Māori educational success. 

The successful applicant will provide leadership, direction and coordination of the basketball programme, supporting our students to achieve excellence both on and off the court.

We have a newly built facility so the successful candidate will be well resourced.  

At Manukura the hauora of staff is encouraged and all staff have access to gym facilities and a nutritious daily breakfast and lunch. Preference will be given to applicants who hold a current teaching qualification and can also contribute to teaching within a curriculum area. Please indicate your curriculum specialism as part of your application.

Applicants should:

• have a strong background in basketball coaching, development and programme leadership
• demonstrate the ability to motivate, inspire and develop young people
• have excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
• be collaborative, innovative and committed to high performance
• have a passion for Māori educational success and student hauora
• be willing to embrace and contribute to the designated special character of Manukura.
