International Student Manager

Mount Maunganui Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic, capable and highly organised teacher to lead and grow our international education programme.

About the role

This unique position combines international programme leadership (60%) with teaching responsibilities (40%), offering the opportunity to make a difference both inside and beyond the classroom.

You'll be responsible for:

• leading and developing our international student programme, ensuring outstanding experiences for students and families
• teaching, providing classroom release and supporting English language learners
• building strong relationships with international families and agents
• promoting and growing our programme through recruitment, marketing and study tours
• managing programme operations, student wellbeing, communication and compliance.

Some work outside school hours and terms is required.

You'll be a registered New Zealand teacher who:

• is proactive, organised and gets things done
• shows initiative, creativity and excellent communication skills
• works collaboratively while confidently taking ownership
• brings energy, adaptability and a solutions-focused attitude.

Experience in international education, ESOL or programme leadership is an advantage, but not essential.

We value character, capability and potential over previous international education experience.
