  • Full-time
  • Permanent
  • Suitable for beginning teachers

About the role

Are you guided by wairua, whanaungatanga and a connection to Papatūānuku?

We are a well-established, community-based (not-for-profit) preschool in Tāhuna | Queenstown. Nestled on a big piece of land in the heart of the CBD, we embrace a strong focus on nature and child-led play.

We are looking for a warm, passionate teacher to join our preschool whānau in January 2027.

We’re eager to welcome a kaiako who:

  • holds an ECE or primary teaching qualification with New Zealand registration (experienced kaiako and enthusiastic new grads welcome!)
  • deeply values strong whānau connections and community
  • brings a collaborative spirit and a positive, team-first energy.

What we offer

  • Full pay parity for NZ registered kaiako.
  • A supportive, vibrant work environment that genuinely prioritises staff wellbeing.
  • Dedicated mentoring for provisionally registered kaiako, alongside ongoing professional learning for the whole team.
  • A natural, rugged outdoor play space designed to inspire child-led exploration and imaginative play.
