Assistant HoD Mathematics

St Dominic’s College is seeking an enthusiastic and capable Assistant Head of Department - Mathematics teacher to join our team.

We are looking for a passionate educator who can inspire students, build strong relationships and contribute positively in leading our collaborative Mathematics Department alongside the HoD.

Expertise in senior Statistics would be an advantage, as we plan for the implementation of the new senior Mathematics and Statistics curriculum. Possibility exists for additional responsibilities for Numeracy within the school.

The successful applicant will:

• Have strong Mathematics and Statistics knowledge in NCEA to Year 13
• Be an engaging and effective classroom practitioner.
• Have high expectations for student achievement.
• Work collaboratively and contribute positively to curriculum development.
• Support the Catholic character and values of the College.

Only those who have a current New Zealand Teacher Registration certificate and are a New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or hold a valid work visa should apply.
