Qualified ECE Teacher

Join Palmerston North's original standalone Montessori centre, a warm, single-site learning community licensed for 50 tamariki aged 2 to 6 years. Guided by a supportive team leader, we operate a modern distributed leadership model where every kaiako is empowered, valued, and encouraged to share leadership. Position details

• Permanent part-time (between 29.25-31.25 hours per week).
• Schedule: Monday and Friday 8.30am -1.30pm, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8.30am -3.45pm (TBC).
• Start date: Monday 18 January 2027 (negotiable).

What we are looking for

• Recognised ECE qualification with provisional or full NZ registration.
• Passion for Montessori (experience preferred, but training provided for the right candidate).
• Proactive, collaborative team player confident in planning, individualised assessment, and whānau communication.
• Willingness to cover shifts within operational hours when needed for staff consistency.
• Must have valid legal rights to work in NZ (Montessori Educare is not an INZ Accredited Employer).
