Frasertown School Hawke's Bay
Classroom Teacher
- Full-time
- Permanent
- PTSA
- Suitable for beginning teachers
About the role
Greetings from Frasertown School. We’re a delightful country school of 115 enthusiastic, lively tamariki and a teaching and support staff team of 15 hardworking, talented kaimahi.
We’re a well-resourced rural kura, just 7 minutes' drive into Wairoa town. We offer the best of both worlds - close-knit country community where relationships matter, alongside a progressive approach to teaching and learning. Our school proudly embraces Te Ao Māori, biculturalism and whanaungatanga, while celebrating traditions such as Kapa Haka, pet days, cross country and the unique opportunities of rural school life.
We’re seeking a NZ trained and registered teacher with skills and strengths across the primary age range and a great grasp of the child centred approach NZ education is renowned for. Skills and experience in literacy and maths are essential and a passion for the arts, health and phys ed, science and languages would be added advantages. Frasertown children love music so someone who has talents in that area would be very welcome.
See attached job description for more information and check out our website.
The position qualifies for the Priority Teacher Supply Allowance (PTSA).
We are aiming for a Term 1 start and the class to be taught in 2027 is likely to be middle primary level.
Mā te wā.
