The role

Encompass Education Hub is seeking an innovative Mathematics and Numeracy specialist with sound knowledge and experience teaching and leading mathematics from Year 9 to 13 to NCEA Level 3 to join our team at the start of 2027. This position is based at the Auckland Hub in Henderson.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of NZQA mathematics teaching, learning and assessments, including the Numeracy Common Assessment Activity, and the flexibility to integrate this learning meaningfully into a project-based approach. They will also have proven ability to mentor, coach and grow beginning teachers.

We are looking for:

• current New Zealand teacher registration and a practising certificate
• applicants with a legal right to work in New Zealand
• experience with, or a strong commitment to, supporting autistic and neurodivergent learners

• subject leadership experience, including curriculum and assessment development

• a collaborative, reflective approach and a passion for making learning meaningful and accessible.
