Teacher of Physical Education, Health and/or Outdoor Education

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and innovative teacher to join our friendly, well-resourced faculty for a 1-year, 0.6 FTTE fixed-term position, covering a teacher on refreshment leave.

The teaching combination will include physical education, health and/or outdoor education, depending on the strengths and experience of the successful applicant. We welcome applications from teachers with expertise in 1 or more of these curriculum areas.

The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic, New Zealand registered teacher who is committed to promoting high levels of student achievement across our middle and senior years. They will bring energy, creativity and a passion for engaging students in meaningful learning experiences, both in and beyond the classroom.

We are looking for a teacher who values the opportunities that physical education, health and outdoor education provide to develop student wellbeing, resilience, teamwork, leadership and a lifelong appreciation of active and healthy lifestyles. A willingness to contribute to education outside the classroom (EOTC) would be beneficial.

Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to embedding the kaupapa of mana ōrite mō te mātauranga Māori in their teaching and relationships with students.
