Mō te tūranga | About the role

We are seeking a Mathematics teacher for a part-time, fixed-term position from the start of Term 1, 25 January 2027, to 9 December 2027. The role is 18 periods per 7-day cycle.

You will be:

• encouraging and helping every student reach their potential in Mathematics and Statistics
• confidently teaching Mathematics to Years 8, 9 and 10, delivering the New Zealand Curriculum within the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP)
• monitoring student progress and providing meaningful, timely feedback
• fostering a supportive, inclusive and engaging learning environment within a collaborative Faculty culture.

You'll join a highly collegial and successful Mathematics Faculty, working with enthusiastic students who value learning, with access to modern facilities and excellent teaching resources.

Ngā pūkenga me whai | We're looking for someone with

• Confidence and capability in teaching Mathematics.
• Sound knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum, with experience in (or enthusiasm for) the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP).
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to monitor student progress and provide meaningful feedback.
• A collaborative, team-oriented approach and a genuine commitment to student success and wellbeing.
• Current New Zealand teacher registration (or eligibility to register).
