Head of Learning Area (Primary or Middle School)

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a permanent full-time Head of Learning Area in our Primary or Middle School with strengths in phase 2 and 3, based on our Junior or Middle School Campus (Years 1 to 8) starting 28 January 2027. Whilst the year level is yet to be determined, it will be between years 6 and 8. 

Located on the beautiful Hibiscus Coast of Auckland, KingsWay is a high achieving, growing, state integrated Christian school catering for Year 1 to 13 students, with a current roll of over 2,000 students.  Our staff are supportive and collaborative, and our work is inspired by aroha | love, heartened by whakapono | faith in Jesus Christ, and motivated by tūmanako | gospel hope. 

About the job

Key responsibilities of this 2SU role include:

• pedagogical and teacher practice oversight (assessment, planning, student data, etc.)
• ensure ongoing collaboration across teams
• pastoral care for staff and students in team, incl. L2 discipline
• Grow leadership capability within the team
• Embed the KingsWay Collaboration Framework

• have strengths in New Zealand Curriculum and in phase 2 and 3.
