English Language Teacher Years 8 to 13

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivational kaiako with proven ability to teach English across Years 8 to 13, including NCEA English and equivalent secondary qualifications. 

It is essential that you: 

• can plan and deliver engaging programmes that develop literacy skills and English language growth, promote critical thinking, and meet the needs of our students

• provide a positive and supportive learning environment for students to achieve academic and social success

• have a strong understanding of NCEA requirements, including assessment design, internal and external assessments, moderation, verification and accurate assessment documentation

• have a growing knowledge and understanding of the refreshed English curriculum and the ability to implement curriculum changes relevant to the kura.
