Year 9 and 10 English and Social Sciences Teacher

Matamata Christian School is a dedicated Christian school that is thrilled to have become a composite school with Years 1 to 9 this year and is expanding to 1 to 10 in 2027.

In introducing Year 10 in 2027 it is time for us to extend our teaching team. We are adding an English and Social Sciences teacher into our team to work at Year 9 and 10 levels in 2027 (0.8). There may be some scope for more hours if a suitable applicant is able to take other subjects too.

A successful applicant will have a new classroom to work with an amazing group of students and will be in an equally amazing team environment.

The terms and conditions, including base salary, are set by the Post Primary Teachers’ Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers is pro-rated and based on a salary range from $61,329 to $103,086, depending on qualifications and experience. The actual base salary will be established through a salary assessment once the appointment is confirmed.
