Cambridge School Waikato
Year 4-6 Whaanau Class Teacher
- Full-time
- Fixed-term (27 Jan 2027 to 27 Jan 2028)
About the role
Bring your reo, your warmth and your passion for learning to Cambridge Primary School.
We are seeking a dedicated kaiako to lead our Years 4–6 bilingual whaanau class in 2027. This is a special opportunity to nurture learners’ language, identity and confidence within a school that values quality, tradition and innovation.
Our class learns through a 50/50 balance of English and te reo Maaori. Strong conversational te reo Maaori is essential, alongside the confidence and capability to use te reo meaningfully in teaching and everyday classroom life.
We would love to hear from you if you build strong relationships with tamariki and whaanau, bring culturally responsive practice to your teaching, and hold high expectations for every learner. Sound curriculum knowledge and a commitment to helping Years 4–6 students thrive academically, socially and culturally will be important.
In return, we offer a welcoming school community, supportive colleagues and leadership, and the opportunity to make a lasting contribution to our bilingual learners’ journey.
If this sounds like your kind of classroom, we would warmly welcome a conversation.
