New Entrant to Year 2 Teacher

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and motivated teacher to join our team at Upper Atiamuri School in 2027.

We are a small, well-resourced rural school with a supportive, collaborative team and a strong sense of community. We pride ourselves on knowing our learners well, building positive relationships and providing engaging learning opportunities that help every child thrive.

We are looking for a teacher who:

• is NZ-trained and holds current NZ teacher registration and a practising certificate
• has a sound understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum and effective teaching practices in the junior school
• has strengths in structured literacy and early mathematics teaching
• builds positive, inclusive relationships with learners, whānau and colleagues
• is enthusiastic, flexible and willing to contribute to all aspects of our rural school
• values collaboration, student agency and creating a positive learning environment.
