About the role

Kāpiti College is an outstanding school of approximately 1,450 students situated on the beautiful Kāpiti Coast. Guided by our annual plan, our four pou, and the enduring gift of our Parihaka values, we provide a safe, supportive and inclusive environment where every student is empowered to succeed.

  • Pou 2: Wellbeing and belonging – A safe, inclusive whānau where everyone thrives
  • Pou 3: Whānau and community partnerships – Strong collaborative relationships
  • Pou 4: Cultural growth – Embracing diversity, Mātauranga Māori and Parihaka values

We are seeking an enthusiastic, collaborative teacher to join our Social Sciences faculty. This post is predominantly focused on Social Sciences, teaching across Years 9–13. The ability to teach Senior Psychology is considered advantageous. As part of this role, there is also a requirement to teach 4-5 lessons within another subject area. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to relational teaching, high expectations for all learners, and a genuine dedication to pastoral care and student wellbeing. If you are a teacher passionate about empowering young people to understand and positively shape the world around them, we would be delighted to hear from you.
