About the role

Cullinane College is seeking a mathematics teacher to join our well-resourced college, with the ability to teach mathematics across Years 9 to 13. The ability to teach calculus and statistics at senior levels would be advantageous, although this is not essential.

Essential requirements

The successful applicant will:

• demonstrate high-quality teaching practice, delivering engaging and differentiated mathematics lessons that respond to individual learning needs
• have a sound understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum and NCEA, with the ability to teach mathematics at senior levels
• create and maintain safe, inclusive and engaging learning environments that support the diverse needs of our students.

Key attributes and requirements

• Experience teaching and assessing NCEA at Levels 1, 2 and 3 is desirable.
• Applicants must hold a current New Zealand practising certificate.
• Staff are expected to recognise and respect the college’s Catholic special character and be actively involved in the total life of the college, in a manner that respects the religious instruction given and religious observances practised within the college.

Eligibility

Applicants are responsible for making sure they meet New Zealand teacher registration requirements and hold appropriate legal authority to work in New Zealand. Any offer of employment will be subject to verification of these requirements.
