Year 9-13 Science Teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable NZ Registered science teacher to join our team in 2027.

This position involves teaching Science in Years 9 and 10, as well as senior NCEA Science courses. Applicants should have strengths in one or more senior science subjects, such as biology, chemistry or physics.

The successful applicant will:

• Deliver engaging and effective science programmes that inspire curiosity and a love of learning.
• Demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge and an understanding of NCEA requirements.
• Build positive and supportive relationships with students.
• Create an environment where students are encouraged to think critically, investigate, and solve problems.
• Work collaboratively as part of a professional and supportive staff team.
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.

Terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the Area School Teachers' Collective Agreement (ASTCA). Individuals actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.
