Year 7 / Year 8 Classroom Teacher

Teaching Intermediate age students is simply the best! 

Due to significant roll growth we are seeking a Scale A teacher for a year 7 or 8 classroom to be part of our busy kura. You will be teaching in one of our six learning community teams. Primarily, your role is to oversee the teaching and learning of one of our 25 classrooms. You will be well supported by your learning community team leader, curriculum heads and other colleagues.

Our ako deserve the best teachers. We require an enthusiastic practitioner who will embrace the broad range of cultures, characteristics and learning challenges that are reflected in every classroom.

We welcome primary school teachers who have never taught this age group before and are ready for a change of level. Bring with you your solid foundations of teaching pedagogy, knowledge of new English and Maths curriculum, and excitement about a full Intermediate school timetable.

If you are a beginning teacher graduating at the end of this year we welcome your application. Our kura will foster and support you to be the best teacher.

A commitment to the school’s co-curricular programme, a strong work ethic, and a flexible approach are expected.

You are guaranteed weekly CRT release to ensure you can design learning programmes and track student progress. 

This position commences in Term 1, 2027.
