Teacher - Year 2-3 (negotiable)

Levin North School - Taitoko ki te Raki is seeking a caring and an enthusiastic kaiako to join our team in a permanent teaching position. The anticipated year level is Year 2-3 (negotiable).

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Enjoys being part of a supportive, collaborative and fun team
• Builds warm, respectful relationships with tamariki, whānau and colleagues
• Gives life to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and actively develops te reo Māori and tikanga Māori in their classroom
• Has a sound understanding of the New Zealand Curriculum and demonstrated ability to teach effectively in an Aotearoa New Zealand primary school context
• Brings effective literacy and mathematics teaching practices
• Uses assessment and data thoughtfully to identify next steps and make a difference for every learner
• Creates engaging, hands-on learning opportunities
• Is reflective, takes initiative and follows through
• Is organised.
