About the role

Are you an educator who brings warmth, energy, and high expectations to the classroom? We are seeking a learning support coordinator / nurture group kaiako to join our team. We are a culturally rich, inclusive full primary where relationships come first. • Collaboration and liaison: Work alongside classroom teachers, Intervention and ORS teachers, whānau, and external specialists (e.g., RTLBs, Ministry of Education, speech-language therapists).
  • Building capability: Support classroom teachers and learning assistants with inclusive pedagogy, differentiated learning strategies, and effective classroom adaptations.
  • Resource and programme management: Coordinate and timetable Learning Assistants for targeted support, and deliver our Nurture Group Programme (a stabilising approach focusing on self-regulation and positive relationships).
  • Transition support: Work alongside the SENCO to support smooth transitions for students entering our school, moving between year levels, and transferring out.
  • Deliver our Nurture Group Programme (a stabilising approach focusing on self-regulation and positive relationships).
