Preschool Kaiako

Are you the kind of kaiako who still gets excited by muddy gumboots, magnificent block creations, endless "why?" questions, and seeing the world through a child's eyes?

If so, we'd love to meet you!

The Meadows Early Learning Centre is looking for a qualified and certificated kaiako to join our preschool team. We believe childhood should be full of wonder, laughter, belonging and meaningful learning. Our curriculum is enriched by Te Ao Māori, and shaped through strong relationships with tamariki, whānau and each other.

We're looking for someone who is curious, reflective, and enjoys working alongside a team that values collaboration, humour and continuous growth. Someone who isn't afraid to get stuck into messy play one minute and meaningful professional conversations the next.

Important: We are not an accredited employer. Applicants must hold current NZ teacher certification and have the legal right to work in New Zealand.

About you

• Current NZ teacher certification (essential)
• A relationship-first approach to teaching
• A love of play, inquiry and creating joyful learning experiences
• A commitment to bicultural practice and lifelong learning

What you'll find at The Meadows

• Full pay parity
• A fun, supportive and experienced teaching team
• Ongoing professional learning and leadership opportunities
• Beautiful learning environments where children and kaiako flourish
• Plenty of laughter, great coffee and teammates who genuinely care

If you're looking for more than just a job—if you're looking for a place to belong, grow and make a difference—we'd love to hear from you.
