English and History / Social Studies teachers Year 9-13

Al-Madinah School is a state integrated islamic school based in Mangere, Auckland, New Zealand. Our vision is to grow our students into becoming exemplary Kiwi Muslims. By doing so, our students should be able to contribute locally, nationally and globally in different aspects of life. 

Positions have opened up for New Zealand registered school teachers to cater for English, History and Social Studies for Year 9–13. The role begins from the beginning of Term 1 2027. 

School visits are encouraged and welcome.

Specific requirements: 

• We require full-time (35 hours) teachers who will work at Al-Madinah School.
• Teachers will be required to deliver the New Zealand Curriculum (NZC) to students from Year 9 to 13.
• Applicants must be New Zealand registered teachers and have the appropriate qualifications. 
• Be able to integrate the special character knowledge into the teaching and learning programs at the school.
• Be expected to participate in and support the implementation of the special character of the school. 
• A background in Geography would be an advantage.

This is a permanent teaching position, working from Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm. Extra call-out days will be in accordance to ASTCA (Area School Teachers' Collective Agreement).

Salary for this position is minimum $66,999 to a maximum of $107,886 depending on the qualifications and experience.
