Takapau School is seeking a passionate, motivated and relationship-focused teacher to join our dedicated team.

We are a full primary Year 1–8 school in a welcoming rural community in Central Hawke’s Bay. Our vision is A Community of Confident, Connected, Active Learners, underpinned by our values of Respect, Relationships, Responsibility and Resilience.

We are committed to providing engaging, inclusive learning experiences that enable every ākonga to achieve, grow in confidence and develop a strong sense of identity and belonging.

We are looking for a teacher who:

• Builds positive, respectful relationships with ākonga, whānau and colleagues.
• Is passionate about improving learner achievement and accelerating progress.
• Creates engaging learning environments where all learners feel valued and supported.
• Demonstrates effective teaching practice and a commitment to professional growth.
• Is collaborative, adaptable and keen to contribute to the wider life of our kura and community.

We offer a supportive team, strong community connections and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our learners.

If you are enthusiastic about teaching, value strong relationships and want to be part of a school where every learner matters, we would love to hear from you!
