Year 5 and Year 7 Homeroom Teachers (2 positions)

Medbury School is seeking two outstanding educators to join their teaching team in permanent Year 5 and Year 7 homeroom teacher positions.

As a homeroom teacher, you will play a central role in each boy’s learning and development. You will deliver engaging, evidence-based teaching across literacy, mathematics and Concept-Based Inquiry (CBI), building strong foundations, encouraging curiosity and developing the knowledge, skills and confidence boys need to become independent learners and thinkers.

You will create a positive, well-organised and inclusive classroom where boys feel a strong sense of belonging, are encouraged to take intellectual risks and are supported to achieve their potential. Through purposeful assessment, responsive teaching and meaningful feedback, you will recognise individual strengths, address learning needs and provide appropriate challenge and extension.

Equally important is your ability to build trusting relationships with boys, families and colleagues. You will contribute to a consistent and supportive pastoral environment, model Medbury’s values and help boys develop character, resilience, empathy, responsibility and respect for others.

Our homeroom teachers also contribute to the wider life of the school through co-curricular activities, sport, outdoor education, camps, events and the many opportunities that make a Medbury education distinctive.
