Te Huarahi Linwood Avenue School Canterbury

Fixed Term Kaiako x2

  • Full time
  • Fixed term
  • Suitable for beginning teachers

About the role

Are you an experienced and passionate teacher looking to be part of a vibrant, culturally rich school community where our values and connections shape who we are as a kura? Do you enjoy a challenge and want to be part of a team that is committed to making a difference for tamariki?

We are seeking two kaiako for fixed-term positions for 2027.

At this stage, the year levels for these positions are yet to be determined. We are open to discussing placement across the school, taking into consideration your experience, strengths, and interests.

In these roles, you will help foster a settled, inclusive classroom where ākonga feel safe, supported, and confident to learn. You will bring a culturally responsive approach, recognising and affirming the languages, cultures, and identities of all learners, and designing engaging learning experiences that cater for a range of strengths and needs.

Working collaboratively will be key. You will contribute to a supportive team by sharing ideas and practice, building strong relationships with tamariki, whānau, and colleagues, and playing an active role in the positive culture of our kura.

We’d love to welcome you for a visit. Come and see our kura in action, meet our people, and get a feel for our community. We look forward to hearing from you!
